Jerry Seinfeld’s Unfrosted – The Pop Tart Story looks like it might be something interesting. The movie revolving around how Kellogg’s and Post came up with an idea that would go on to change the world seems to be heading in the right direction. But it was not at all an easy run for some cast members. Especially Jerry Seinfeld. The Seinfeld star had a nice experience on set except for his interaction with one star – Hugh Grant. He couldn’t help but lament what a pain it was in the end.

In the course of the shooting of their upcoming film, Unfrosted: The Pop Tart Story, Jerry Seinfeld, and Hugh Grant had the chance to work together. While the comedian was happy to have been associated with the film, which he co-wrote and directed as well, there was one con.

Hugh Grant, playing Thurl Ravenscroft, was proving to be a pain for the director. Disagreements had become common. And the conflict between them soon elevated to a level where it couldn’t be controlled any longer.

Speaking about his experience of working with the Knotting Hill star, Seinfeld said on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon,

“We had lots of fights. He’s a pain in the ass to work with. He’s horrible. He tells you before you work with him, ‘You’re gonna hate this.’ And he’s so right.” (The Tonight Show)

Things were looking bad. The tension was palpable. The air was continuing to become tense on the set. And there seemed to be no end. Until it did (Surprise! Surprise!) Seinfeld came around on his opinion of the 63-year-old star. And it’s only natural. Who could save himself from the charms of the English star after all?

The tense dynamic between Hugh Grant and Jerry Seinfeld did relax as the shooting progressed. And it all happened after a dinner. Sharing how the 69-year-old came around, he said,

“We shot for 10 weeks, and that night that he and I had dinner — and we got drunk having dinner — that was the greatest night.”

There is more to their renewed rapport. He continued,

“Because he’s so cool and he’s that English thing, you know, that witty. He looks good in a jacket … he’s one of those guys. I love those guys.”

Looks like they have exorcised the ghosts of their past quite effectively, turning to greener pastures.
