There’s a new exciting update about the Netflix fan-favorite show Stranger Things Season 5. The show has been long in development but was postponed due to SAG-AFTRA strikes.
The young actor came under fire due to his remarks on the Israel-Hamas war, with fans asserting to skip Season 5 over its lead star’s behavior. It came after Netflix officially started production for Stranger Things’ final season on January 8, 2024.
The streaming service shared a black and white photo on Instagram featuring the entire cast and crew reunited. Since then, calls to boycott the show have been rekindling.
Fans Demand Boycott of Stranger Things Season 5 Because of Noah Schnapp
In a video posted on Tiktok late Monday night, the Stranger Things star shared in a statement that he feels “like my thoughts and beliefs have been so far misconstrued from anything even close to what I believe, and I wanted to just state from my heart how I feel. I only want peace and safety and security for all innocent people affected by this conflict.”
As per Variety, the backlash against the 19-year-old grew when people on social media accused him of liking a video that mocked Palestinian victims in Gaza.
This led fans to demand a boycott of Season 5 of Stranger Things, which has recently started production. One X user even declared, “he’s borderline jobless now.”
He's borderline jobless now he opened his mouth again seeking a little redemption lmao.
