Yes, I was a huge fan of Garfield growing up and I am a cat guy. I love cats, I think they are great. Pratt shared.

Do you own any cats? Interviewer asked.

I don’t currently own any cats. But my mom has two cats. But I do, as far as pets go, listen I love dogs and I love cats, but if I had to go with one I’d probably go with cats.

According to his interview, Chris Pratt reflected on his affection for cats. Explaining how he adores the majestic and purrrfect species over man’s best friend, Pratt implied that his desire to embody Garfield stemmed from that very love. Apart from that, the actor mentioned growing up to be a fan of Garfield, which also influenced his desire to offer his voice for the role.

If you could take any of Garfield’s quirks and apply it to your real life, which one would it be? Interviewer asked.

I love that he is not afraid to just say it. He just kind of says it like it is, and I think it’s pretty cool. He’s pretty ballsy that way. I’m always very careful in what I say. Sometimes I’d like to be a little more snarky.

Chris Pratt’s openness about his admiration for Garfield’s character traits resonated with fans who appreciate his candid approach to discussing the challenges and desires of life. Meanwhile, as the actor continues to evolve both professionally and personally, his reflections leave viewers with a glimpse into his persona and aspirations.

The Garfield Movie is available on Fandango.
