Popular for her role in the iconic Speed franchise as well as many commercially successful and award-winning films in her career, Sandra Bullock has had the opportunity to work with several talented stars in the industry. And it was this one time that she got the chance to work with Matthew McConaughey on their Thriller/Drama film A Time to Kill, where not only did they briefly date each other, but her co-star also blew her away with just how well he could perform in front of the camera.

What is a surprising fact about the Interstellar star’s role was that he was never considered for the lead position to begin with as he wasn’t as big a name as Bullock was at the time, which got her the lead actress role with relative ease. But when he had to audition in front of John Grisham, the author of the story, he brought his A-game to the table, which not only impressed the executives but also the Bird Box star. In an interview from the past, when asked what she felt about sharing the screen alongside him, Bullock said:
“I said, ‘If it’s a strong, honest actor, it’s my privilege to be opposite him,’ He’s a character actor in a leading-man’s body, and he’s going to change the face of what we demand from male actors, we’ll demand for them to push themselves more. He’s not just another beautiful face.”
Therefore, when they did their best for their respective roles in the film, and the end result was absolutely amazing, a statement even the audiences agreed with after watching the movie.

When suffering from the grave loss of his 10-year-old daughter who was r*ped, Carl Lee Hailey seeks revenge on the perpetrators, and in his blind rage, murders every single one of them. Now, facing trial, Hailey has nowhere to turn to, except to his good friend and lawyer Jake Tyler Brigance, a novice practitioner of of the law. Since he’s fairly new to the profession, he has to face the doubts that he has with himself and his practice, while also facing the challenge to get Hailey acquitted in a small southern town.
