His daughter Corinne Foxx and his fellow actors have shared updates regarding his health condition over the past few months. Almost three months after being hospitalized, he was recently seen for the first time enjoying himself on a boat on the Chicago River. He is seen waving toward his fans in a video published by TMZ. And sources close to the actor have shared that he is doing great and is taking things slow.
“Jamie is doing great. He is just taking it easy,” a source told People. The source also shared that he is not having any visitors for now and has been doing well as he slowly recovers. They said, “He’s not really having any visitors or anything like that yet, but he’s doing really really well.”
While many of his fans are happy that the Django Unchained star is healthy and doing well. However, many others have also questioned the video showing him on the boat, as they shared their suspicion that the person on the boat is not Foxx but a body double of the actor.

Boyega also said that his co-star needs some private time and wished him a fast recovery. Foxx’s co-producer Datari Turner has also suggested that the Day Shift star is in good condition and has talked to the film’s director Juel Taylor and his co-star John Boyega. “He’s in really, really good shape and spirits. And he’ll be back on the screen,” Turner shared.
