Jamie Foxx is a tremendous actor, and that is why the world was left devastated after hearing about his sudden collapse earlier this year. While his undisclosed medical complications left him hospitalized for more than a month, it seems that they have not just affected his physical health but have also taken a toll on his mental health as well.

This comes after recent reports claiming that Jamie Foxx is reportedly considering tying the knot with his current flame, Alyce Huckstepp. While this news has not only left his fans, friends, and even family members surprised, Foxx’s sudden consideration for marriage has also left everyone concerned about the star.

Although details about Jamie Foxx‘s medical complications were not disclosed, it was reported that they were severe enough to have put his life in danger at just the age of 55. And while he is considerably recovered now, it seems that his entire way of thinking and seeing life has changed drastically judging from his recent alleged consideration of sudden marriage with non-famous girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp.

A source close to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 star recently claimed to National Enquirer (via Marca):

“The fact that he was about to die has really woken him up to his own mortality. He is now very aware that it could all be over in an instant. Now he’s excited about making Alyce [Huckstepp] his wife and people think he’s being impetuous.”

The source added how Foxx has reportedly started thinking about settling down, which has left everyone in his life substantially scared considering his care-free personality before the medical complications.

“He’s started saying he wants to settle down. He’s scaring everyone in his life. They’re worried he’s going to marry Alyce just because that’s who he’s with now.”

Another source, a friend of Foxx, further claimed how the White House Down star has undergone a drastic personality change ever since as well.

“Jamie almost died and he doesn’t seem to be himself since then. He seems like a different guy since he got out of the hospital.”

It is worth noting that Jamie Foxx is the father of two children: Corinne Foxx, 29, daughter of Connie Kline; and Annalise Bishop, 13, daughter of Kristin Grannis.

Another reason behind Jamie Foxx’s sudden consideration of getting settled is surprising is because once before, after his failed romance with former long-time girlfriend Katie Holmes, he said he doesn’t think of himself as ‘the marrying type’.

In his 2021 memoir, Act Like You Got Some Sense, the Oscar winner explained how he just didn’t feel the need to get married. According to People:

“I just don’t think I’m the marrying type,” Foxx wrote. “I’ve just never been convinced that marriage was a good idea for me. I’ve had friends that have great marriages, others not so much. And it never seemed like marriage was necessary to raise my children in a safe and loving atmosphere.”

And yet, that doesn’t mean that the Django Unchained star doesn’t want to be in a relationship at all. During an interview with Men’s Health, he shared how long-term relationships are some of the few things that suit him just fine:

“Weirdly, though, if I’m in a relationship that I really dig … I’m good.”

Judging from his own previous statements, it is stunningly convincing that his recent health problems might have played a major part in making him realize that life is short and unsteady, though fans will just have to wait and watch how everything plays out for Jamie Foxx.
