In almost every scene, there is a possibility of the character breaking the fourth wall. Interestingly enough, he will do it in such a way that will be forever etched in the minds of the fans.

One such instance was when he referred to Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto, where he ensured that he would achieve his dream of becoming a Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village.

Deadpool is Coming After Naruto’s Dream

Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto is one of the most popular Shonen series that revolves around the life of Naruto Uzumaki, who has been treated like an outcast since he was a kid. Hence, he used to cause trouble around Konohagakure to make the villagers pay attention to him.

However, when nothing worked, he ensured that everyone in the village would know his name when he became a Hokage. Towards the end of Shippuden, he achieved this lifelong dream of his. However, it looks like an unexpected name is coming after his job. In Deadpool Team-Up #886, featuring The Merc with a Mouth in an unexpected team-up with Iron Fist.

The two heroes were hunting down Gin Goh for a contract. Wilson was repeatedly sliced by his foe’s cursed sword, called Black Tongue. Though the blade was not strong enough to kill him, it slowed down his healing factor to the parts where he had been cut.

During his fight, the anti-hero was focusing his attention away from the fight when he revealed that his dream was the same as the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki. Considering his past, he is somewhat similar to Uzumaki Naruto, as he often does things that are not very hero-like.

Nevertheless, if he finds himself in the world of Naruto, he would be the worst pick for the Hokage. Well, primarily because his unserious attitude and his joking nature will not be very Hokage-esque. Moreover, if he were to be one, then fans should expect the Fifth Great Ninja War to take place.

Fans React To Deadpool‘s Naruto Reference

Deadpool referring to Kishimoto-Sensei’s Naruto would arguably go down as one of the most epic references made by the character. With Marvel’s first R-rated film, Deadpool & Wolverine, featuring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, fans are optimistic that the actor will make this reference in the film.
