There is absolutely no doubt as to how incredibly fans are excited to see Cillian Murphy in Oppenheimer. The cast is more than enough to attract a big crowd and the film is a Christopher Nolan works. There has been a lot of work put into this film to make it one of the most awaited flicks of all time.
The friendly feud with Barbie, the love fans have for both the films and so much more has added up to Murphy’s movie becoming a great project. The movie has a great number of big actors who have all given their best performances. From Emily Blunt to Robert Downey Jr, no one is holding back in order to make sure the movie is splendid.
Cillian Murphy Is Filled With Praises For Robert Downey Jr
Robert Downey Jr made it to the top of the Hollywood food chain because of his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is one of the most famous actors at the moment and even though he gave up playing Tony Stark, his upcoming movie, Oppenheimer, has more than enough anticipation. While working with Cillian Murphy, both actors got to spend a great amount of time with each other.
“He’s the most wonderful scene partner and so generous, so focused, but you never know what you’re going to get in a brilliant way. Some of those scenes, Chris let us loose a little bit so we could actually extemporize and improvise a little bit. They were some of my favorite scenes in the movie.”
Cillian Murphy kept on singing praises for his co-star during an interview. He stated that Downey was an amazing partner to act with and the way he brought his character to life was truly a sight to behold. Christopher Nolan had allowed the cast to add their own touch here and there. This allowed Downey to truly display just how talented of an actor he really is.
Cillian Murphy Adored His Time With Robert Downey Jr
Cillian Murphy especially loved the scenes where he and Robert Downey Jr could improvise. It allowed both of them, as well as Christopher Nolan, to truly explore the relationship that the two characters had. The complex nature of their back and forth could be seen coming to life and it was only possible because of just how talented both Murphy and Downey are.
“I think Robert Downey Jr. is just absolutely electrifying in that role. I think he’s mind-blowingly good in it. We talked a lot, me and Robert and Chris [Nolan] about it, about this dynamic between that relationship because it’s really, really interesting and complex.”
Murphy’s favorite scenes in the movie were the ones he got to do with Downey and he could adore those moments time and again.
Oppenheimer will be available to watch in theatres from 21st July 2023.
