One of the cons of celebrity life is having crazy fan experiences that would blow the daylights out of anyone, which is something actor and comedian Dax Shepard experienced firsthand. Known for his comedic genius, the actor has faced plenty of backlash and fury from outlandish fans but certainly nothing beats this one fan interaction where a total stranger claimed him to be the father of her son.
And to make matters worse, the actor was in a crowded restaurant and had to go through this bizarre experience when he was just out to enjoy his time.
Dax Shepard Was Humiliated By Crazy Fan In A Crowded Restaurant
Being in the public eye makes one prone to awkward, weird, and unbearable experiences and celebrities get the best of all. Among the vast sea of fans that celebs tend to draw, there are some who bring about disastrous and bizarre consequences for the celebs. And so it was for Dax Shepard, who had to go through a humiliating experience while enjoying his time at a crowded restaurant.
A complete stranger once approached him at a totally packed restaurant and loudly proclaimed him to be the father of her son, as he stated in an interview (via MTV).
“This woman was convinced that I was the father of her kid and I had never ever met her. She marches into this restaurant and she goes, ‘Are you going to deny that he’s yours?’ And I go, ‘What?’ And she goes, ‘Are you willing to take a paternity test or not?’ And I go ‘WHAT?’ ‘He’s your son!'”
While he did not elaborate on how he handled the situation, he did mention it felt surreal,
“That was a very surreal experience.”
However, Shepard’s experience was considerably less extreme than what many other celebs have had to face.

Married to actress Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard has had many crazy and problematic fan experiences. From fans calling their marriage a sham to social media outrage over how many times a week they make their kids bathe, Shepard and Bell often have to bear the brunt of their fans’ fury for one reason or the other.
Recently the couple was called out for their alleged ‘problematic’ behaviour when they were left stranded at Boston Logan International Airport due to flight delays. Unable to find any hotel room within a 50-mile radius, they decided to just sleep at the airport.
Their hilarious yet stressful account of the incident on their Instagram accounts generated lots of flak from fans, who called them out for their alleged high ‘standards’ (via ET Online). Such incidents really show that fans would be and could be outraged at anything and everything celebrities do.
