The legendary game director knows how to generate hype by rattling cages and posting ambiguous images related to his next major project: the upcoming Death Stranding sequel. The gaming community expects a massive reveal to top of all the recent teaser posters.
Many assumed Kojima would be in attendance during this year’s Gamescom; however, the renowned game developer is biding his time and waiting for the right moment to host a special panel during the Tokyo Game Show. Fans are excited to see the talent behind the highly anticipated sequel.
Director Hideo Kojima Confirmed He Will Be at This Year’s Tokyo Game Show
The gaming community was blown away by the first original game from Kojima Productions and is eager to see what Kojima could do with the impressive horsepower of the PlayStation 5 with the Death Stranding sequel. Director Hideo Kojima loves to generate hype through social media and released a batch of character posters with obscured faces a few days ago.
Enough time has passed, and the studio officially revealed what these character posters are all for, and it appears that these are talented Japanese voice actors who will be dubbing for the Death Stranding sequel. These actors will join the legendary director on a special stage to discuss the game.

The first game initially had a mixed reception. Public opinion about the ambitious video game has shifted, and the gaming community is eager to see a massive leap in visuals, fidelity, physics, and graphics of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach on the base and rumored Pro models of the PlayStation 5.

Kojima shared the official banner featuring all the guests including Director Nicholas Winding Refn who was involved in the first game as his likeness appeared as Heartman.
The other guests seem to be of Japanese descent comprised of actors, voice actors, and singers who will likely lend their talents for the upcoming project and share their experiences working with Kojima.
Other actors in the industry respect Kojima’s collaborative nature and grant his actors the freedom to improvise or approach a scene the way they see fit. Perhaps the guests will have more stories to impart during the panel.
More Details About Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Will Be Revealed During TGS 2024
The Death Stranding sequel is not the only project in active development. Kojima is diving back to his horror roots and is working on a new original project titled OD which highlights the director’s eye for detail and the macabre with new and unique game mechanics and features.
The panel could reveal the official release date and hopefully, a new teaser. Fans are eager to see where Sam goes next in this new chapter.
Sony did not make a mistake by offering Kojima a lending hand to work on his first original project since his departure from Konami. His reputation opened more doors for opportunity.
Kojima is almost at the finish line for this project. Fans are excited to see bits of information in this year’s Tokyo Game Show.
