The Tanking of Yet Another Netflix Film, Red Notice

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is making a buzz in the tinsel town as DCEU’s latest superhero. Showing a promising start as Black Adam, the actor is already riding high on his achievement of a solo superhero movie. However, The Rock’s success goes far beyond his recent career trajectory. Besides his crowd-puller one-time watch movies, he has delivered a couple of good performances, one of which includes the Netflix action-comedy film, Red Notice.

The film, written, produced, and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, managed to draw a limited audience despite showing a promising plotline. Although the performance of the cast, i.e. Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, and Dwayne Johnson was impeccable, the movie failed to deliver as a whole and became too predictable by the end. Red Notice currently holds a 36% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 6.3 rating on IMDb.

During the promotional tour of the film, Ryan Reynolds (who plays an elusive art thief) had a stroke of inspiration looking at co-star Dwayne Johnson’s head. It was during one of the interviews that Reynolds finally shared with the world the irrevocable image of how The Rock’s head actually looks like a p**is if looked at from the back. Being the sporting man that he is, The Rock complied by turning around to prove what Reynolds had already said.

This is not the first time that Dwayne Johnson has partaken as the subject of trolling in recent times. His unusual yet persevering friendship with comedian Kevin Hart is one of the most enviable bonds in the industry and the two share a relationship founded on unchecked banter and constant pulling of each other’s legs at any opportune situation.
