Of all the forbidden jutsu ever created, Edo Tensei proved to be more notorious. While it was initially created by Tobirama Senju, this jutsu was weaponized against the ninjas during the Fourth Shinobi World War. Of all the reincarnations, Madara Uchiha was the deadliest.

Madara’s resistance to Edo Tensei in Naruto
Edo Tensei is a forbidden Jutsu created by Tobirama Senju that appears in the Naruto series written by Masashi Kishimoto. Also known as the Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation, this jutsu allows the user to reanimate a dead person through the use of DNA and living sacrifice.
While the jutsu involved a talisman to control the reanimated Shinobi, only a few could break free from it. Hashirama, Tobirama, and Itachi were among the few Shinobis who were resistant to the control tags and talismans.
Apart from these three, Madara’s reanimation was by far the most dangerous yet powerful. In his reanimated form, Madara proved to be more lethal, as he could break free from Kabuto’s control. However, as strong as he may be, Madara is taken down by Might Guy, who neutralizes this jutsu.
Might Guy’s mastery of Taijutsu helped neutralize Edo Tensei
Might Guy is one of the most underrated and underappreciated Shinobi in the series. He may not be as cool as Kakashi, but he knocked the living daylights out of the Uchiha Ghost through his mastery of Taijutsu. Besides that, he is the only shinobi in the series apart from his father Might Duy, and student Rock Lee to access all of The Eight Inner Gates.
The Eight Inner Gates is one of the deadliest yet powerful jutsu in the series. Although this jutsu is lethal in terms of its strength and intensity, it also weakens the user and can prove suicidal. The fatality of this jutsu was clear when Guy became handicapped because of its use.
However, several fans responded differently to Guy’s battle with Madara and some pointed to the Eighth Gate being responsible for incapacitating the Uchiha Ghost, making him unable to revive. A user stated that the Eighth Gate triggered the slowing down of Madara’s regeneration process on Reddit.

To add to that, Madara’s resistance to ninjutsu and genjutsu didn’t prevent him from his vulnerability to Taijutsu. As forbidden as the technique might be, The Eighth Gate slowed down the regeneration of Madara’s cells as this Reddit user pointed out.

On the whole, Might Guy’s brute force and expertise in Taijutsu, coupled with his experience as a Shinobi, puts him on a par with the Hokage and even Madara Uchiha, for that matter. It is no surprise that the legendary Uchiha acknowledged him as a worthy opponent.
