There’s a certain standard that has to be matched nowadays to get a role as a male superhero in any of the two major superhero movie franchises-DC Universe and Marvel Cinematic Universe. Dwayne Johnson and Henry Cavill from the DCU play Black Adam and Superman respectively and are great examples of that standard.

Of course, it is also pretty much a requirement that the hired actor knows at least a bit about who he has to portray when signing that sweet deal, but it’s also very much dependent on brawns. And Johnson and Cavill definitely have it, in heaps! It seems like one of the two has a much tougher workout regimen.

Dwayne Johnson Says Henry Cavill’s Man Of Steel Workout Regimen Is Tough

There’s a very special reason why people still call Dwayne Johnson by his WWE name- The Rock, it’s almost like a name that will stick with him for the rest of his life.

If you look at any of the WWE matches that Johnson has taken part in, let’s also include his debut in WWE Survivor Series 1996, you can see that he was pretty much destined to become the number-one star in the ring in the coming years.

Now you may think that no one in the world could hold a candle against whatever training regimen The Rock undergoes to keep his body in shape, but he would beg to differ as he complimented his DCU co-star’s workout regimen.

During an interview with JOE UK on his YouTube channel just last month, the 50-year-old star shared some details on Henry Cavill’s workout regimen-

“I’ve known Henry for a few years. He’s a buddy of mine.”

“His work-out regimen is pretty hardcore. We have the same strength and conditioning coach. I’m very glad you brought him up because I know there’s a gift that’s coming up in Black Adam for the fans. This idea of myself and Henry Cavill working out together, ahead of some showdown, down the line, is fun to say.”

Somewhere down the line, fans might get the much sought-after fight between Black Adam and Superman! It’s safe to bet that even a real-life fight between these two DCU stars would be quite the watch too!
