Lindsay Lohan has been under the spotlight all her life and emerged as a teen idol following the success of movies like Mean Girls and Freaky Friday in the early 2000s. But with unprecedented fame also came unimaginable scrutiny, as the teen star started to find herself dominating the headlines for all the wrong reasons by the late 2000s.
From getting arrested multiple times for drunk driving and substance abuse to tricky personal relationships, Lohan started to attract camera flashes more times in front of courts than in her movie premieres.
The Lohan opera in the media peaked in March of 2014, now remembered as L-Day, after InTouch Weekly came up with a list, allegedly written by Lohan, consisting of famous names she’d been in se*ual relationships with.
Which High-Profile Actors Were on Lindsay Lohan’s S*x List in 2014
On March 12, 2014, InTouch Weekly shared a handwritten list – on a board game playing card – of Lindsay Lohan‘s supposed former lovers. 18 names on it were visible and 18 were blurred out. A week later, the tabloid revealed 12 more names.
A-listers like James Franco, Adam Levine, Justin Timberlake, Zac Efron, Colin Farrell, and Ashton Kutcher were all on the list. During an appearance on Watch What Happens, Andy Cohen posed the question about the alleged list to Lohan, to which she replied:
“You know what, I’m going to get serious for a second… That was actually my fifth step in AA at Betty Ford. And someone, when I was moving during the OWN [Oprah Winfrey Network] show, must have taken a photo of it. And so that’s a really personal thing, and it’s really unfortunate.”
Lohan denied to either confirm or deny having trysted with these names, and in the end directed the viewers to check the last episode of her show for more details. However, she wasn’t the only one who found herself under the scanner, some of the A-listers on the list also had to face the mic and address the controversial topic.
Which Actors Denied Having S*xual Encounter With Lindsay Lohan
James Franco was asked about the infamous list by Howard Stern in 2013. The Why Him? actor denied (via E!) Lohan’s claims, insisting she was having issues at the time, and he only saw her as a friend.
But things didn’t stop just there. In 2014, Franco wrote a story titled Bungalow 89 for Vice‘s Fiction issue, wherein he talked about a character named ‘Lindsay Lohan’.
“There was a Hollywood girl staying at Chateau Marmont. She had gotten a key to my room from the manager,” one of the lines in his story read. What a peculiar way to deny having slept with ‘Lindsay Lohan’!
Maroon 5 lead Adam Levine also faced the same question by Stern, and flat out rejected the claims (via E!), stating: “That’s not true. I did not have se–ual intercourse with Lindsay Lohan!”
Cruel Intentions star Ryan Phillippe’s name was also on the list, albeit misspelled. As per E!, Lohan reportedly hooked up with him in 2007. However, in a 2008 interview with Stern, Phillippe revealed she wanted him but he denied any suggestions of a hookup.
