MCU’s WandaVision took a huge step and became the franchise’s first-ever sitcom, but it’s not just a regular television show. It was Scarlet Witch’s way of dealing with grief over Vision’s death. She created a fake reality by taking over Westview Town and living a happy married life with her lover.

Things got even more complicated as Vision became aware that he was just a figment of Wanda’s imagination. It also took fans by surprise when the White Vision entered the scene.

Paul Bettany’s Upcoming Vision Series Has Found Its Director

That’s how I got to know him. It was from his amazing work on Picard Season 3. I said, ‘This is incredible. I don’t know how this exists. Let me find the person who made this.’

Paul Bettany previously spoke about his love and passion for playing Vision in the MCU. At the time, he was still in the dark about the future of his character. He told Deadline:

You never know with Marvel, whether you’re done, or not. So I don’t want to call it the end yet. This was one of the most creative experiences of my life, joyful and free, making this show. To see it embraced by an audience the way it was, was so wonderful.

After Vision perished at the hands of the Mad Titan, he was resurrected on screen in WandaVision as the imaginary partner of Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff and as a rebuilt ghost-white android with a wiped-out memory.

The two Visions ended up battling each other in the final episode of the series, with Wanda’s Vision restoring White Vision’s memories, after which, allowing the former to vanish into thin air.

The upcoming show will explore the events after that epic ending. White Vision is a product of the S.W.O.R.D., a counterterrorism and intelligence agency that utilized the remnants of Vision’s original body to create a new one, specifically designed to eliminate Wanda.
