Marvel may have made the bold decision to cast Robert Downey Jr. as the new Doctor Doom in the cinematic universe after his tremendous run as the Iron Man who ‘had a heart’, but the reception his Doom would receive remains as uncertain as ever. One of the reasons behind this, of course, is his tragic transition from a fan-beloved superhero role into a supervillain one.

But that’s not all. As fans already know, Doom is one of the most vicious villains in the history of the MCU, and the perfect example of this is depicted in Fortnite with utmost accuracy. That said, if Downey Jr. decides to replicate all the horrors that his big baddie does to the Fantastic Four and other heroes in the game, then fans might as well be in for an ugly cry in the theatres.

Robert Downey Jr.’s Doom Has Some Really Heinous Crimes Up His Sleeve in Fortnite

The perfect mixture of super-genius and megalomaniac, Victor von Doom is one of the most feared and formidable supervillains in the entirety of Marvel’s super-verse. While his works in the comics are enough to leave just anyone terrified of him to the core, his version shown in Fortnite surpasses even that level of terror and cruelty as it shows trophies of every hero he has killed.

As shared in tweet threads by @ScyanYT on X, Doom doesn’t hesitate to mold his arch-enemies into whichever form he deems fit. While the Fortnite Story Content Creator claims Doom couldn’t collect Thor’s hammer as a trophy as he’s “not worthy to move it,” the others faced far worse fates, especially the iconic Fantastic Four superheroes.

For one, he turned Ben’s The Thing quite literally into a stone throne, with the poor thing’s arms serving as arm-rests by his side. Then there was Johnny’s Human Torch, who was met with an even more gruesome fate: His heart, snatched right from his chest and set ablaze in fire, served as the personal heater for “heating up Doom’s personal room.”

Then there was Sue’s Invisible girl who wasn’t shown any mercy either. Apparently, she is either “locked up” in a glass box that only has enough space to fit a chair in the middle, or that box is only there to “show off [that] she[‘s] dead.” As for Reed’s Mr Elastic: He has been transformed into a ball, with his entire body stretched and tied in an incredibly torturous way.

Besides these 4, there’s Doctor Strange, who has his Eye of Agamotto necklace resting in a glass case to showcase Doom’s excellence in defeating him as well. Ultron’s there too, with his ruptured, hollow metal skull depicting the rough fate he faced. Adding to these are the Silver Surfer’s surfboard and Magneto’s helmet, both seen broken in the most brutal manner possible.

Last but not least, hints of Moon Light getting defeated at the hands of Doom were also there as his badly battered crescent-shaped boomerang rested in a glass case with the supervillain. Even Galactus wasn’t spared by him, as his half-protruding badly damaged head confirmed. And, of course, Thanos’ crushed helmet also rested in a showcase with Doom.

Needless to say, all of these are enough proof of just why Victor von Doom is treated as such an intimidating and foreboding character in the MCU. That said, seeing Robert Downey Jr.—whose former superhero, ironically, sacrificed himself just to save his universe—in his role and committing such heinous crimes might as well leave fans bawling in those dark cinema halls.

As expected, fans have some of the most shocked reactions to this series of revelations of all the brutal crimes Doom holds up his sleeve in Fortnite. To say the least, they are finding it all “morbid” to even deal with, coupled with all the other grim stuff the supervillain has done throughout his character arc.

All in all, here’s what those fans have to say on X:

To put it in a nutshell, these “trophies” are proof enough to confirm that Doctor Doom isn’t really a force to be reckoned with. With his crimes surpassing terror and ferocity by such massive margins, fans might as well brace themselves for some really heart-wrenching stuff if Kevin Feige is really planning to bring this side of the supervillain out through Downey Jr.
