The MCU has been going through a rough patch as of late with its fourth phase gaining a lot of unfortunate criticism. Although post Avengers: Endgame, the franchise has seen a lot of ups and downs, there have been gems here and there to support the series altogether. From movies like Spider-Man: No Way Home, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, to projects like Wandavision and Loki.
All these movies and shows somehow led the entire fourth phase. However, they were not able to balance the movies and shows that managed to disappoint the audience heavily. The fifth phase did not kick off with a strong start, making Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania just as underperforming as various other projects of the previous phase.
James Gunn Woos MCU Fans Incredibly
James Gunn’s final project with the Marvel Cinematic Universe has finally been released and fans are all for it. The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is conquering the box office with the stunning conclusion of a bunch of weirdos who found a home in each other. The director basically proved how many people were wrong to ever question his talent and that in the end, he indeed knew what he was doing.
With the way the franchise has been floating, fans only had massive rising concerns for the MCU. However, Gunn’s movie might as well have completely turned the tide. The movie managed to balance every character in a wonderful way and saw how both comedy and tragedy can merge into what can easily be termed a beautiful masterpiece. There was a lot going on in the movie and yet the focus never shifted. It was incredible in its own way and fans did not ignore just how immersive the movie had been.
Fans Acknowledge The MCU Finally Finding A Path
Fans have been praising the movie and just how beautifully it is shot and written. The balance of the good and bad as well as the fight sequences all manage to be gripping in their own unique way. Gunn has shown that he has and always will give his best in every project he does. The way MCU’s tone shifted from a hollow path to a more fun-filled and tragic way.
i thought people has been teasing mcu for not even barely referencing the tiamut statue in any of other mcu movies. now they're expecting the mcu to be self-contained? LOL

Yup. People have tricked themselves into thinking that simply going “but it works when they do it” negates hypocrisy.

There’s no way the mcu can appease everyone when everyone wants something different and collectively we want everything

All of P4: Wahh there's no overarching plot or connections.
Quantumania: omg I have to watch 50 things just to understand this
Vol 3: Yay something I don't have to do homework for.I knew it would happen but the fact people still say all this shit seriously. pic.twitter.com/6LicuWg4Zz

I like how so much of the phase 1 stuff is present in phase 4 and people will completely ignore it and then say that.

The fans are cheering with the way the project came out and how perhaps even future movies and shows will go in the same way. The minute focus was so easily and carefully handled that the entire fanbase leaned toward a movie about finding a killswitch over saving the entire multiverse.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now available to watch in theatres.
