Queen Rhaenyra thanks Mysaria for saving her life. The two of them discuss things that lead to their allying. The Queen heads inside to talk to her niece, Rhaena, about her next moves. Where does Prince Daemon head to take over?

After his big fight with the Queen, Prince Daemon leaves and finds a new place to take over. We see him arrive at Harrenhal, where he stakes his claim of the castle and takes over. Daemon sits with the folks of Harrenhal to figure out where they stand with Lord Larys, and the man rebukes any allegiance to him. Daemon said he wanted to march to King’s Landing and take over the throne.

King Aegon decides to go out on the town and have some fun. He stumbles into the room where his brother Aemond is found lying naked in the arms of the woman he first slept with. Aegon, very drunk, criticizes the fact he continues to go back to the well, and it pisses Aemond off that he stands up and storms out of the room.

Who makes a shocking cameo in episode 3 of House of the Dragon season 2?

Harrenhal is considered a haunted place, and Prince Daemon is beginning to see and hear things. As he wanders the castle at night, he hears something in one of the rooms, storms in with his sword, and sees a Young Rhaenyra (Milly Alcock reprising the role) sitting in a chair, sewing back together the head of baby Jaehaerys. Matt Smith’s ability to sell this entire moment with his face was so damn good. He is well on his way to another Emmy nomination.

HBO’s House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 3 Ending Explained: How does the meeting between the Queens go?

Queen Rhaenrya speaks with Mysaria about how well she knows the lay of King’s Landing so that she can meet with Queen Alicent. Regardless of how bad an idea Mysaria thinks it is, she tells her that the one place she may be able to meet her is inside the temple. As Queen Alicent sits at the table, Rhaenrya approaches her, startling her, but the Queen holds a knife to her to stay quiet.

Queen Rhaenrya asks her to work out a peace deal potentially, but Queen Alicent understands she is weak and says there is no deal to work out. In the moments of pleading for a deal, Queen Alicent explained the final moments of King Viserys explaining the promise to Prince Aegon, and Rhaenrya realized he didn’t pick Aegon but was repeating the Fire & Ice dream about Aegon the Conqueror.

The writers built this episode as the calm before the storm. The war was inevitable, and any last-ditch effort by Queen Rhaenrya showcased her desperation for what she knew was bound to happen. Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke acted their ass off in this brilliant battle of words from the Queens. House of the Dragon shows no signs of slowing down.
