There will be dozens of spoilers everywhere, and even though it’s not an entire episode, fans are still warned about it. The epic ending will be officially released on HBO this coming Sunday.

Beware Of Spoilers For House of the Dragon Season Finale

A TikTok account is said to have spread the leaked footages from House of the Dragon, and they easily spread across various social media platforms, including Twitter/X and Facebook. As per Variety, the now-suspended account “posted 14 videos and roughly 30 minutes of footage” and they were viewed approximately 50,000 to 100,000 times.

This is not a new occurence for the franchise. The final episode of the first season was also leaked online, but it was due to a distribution partner either in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa.

Despite the account getting suspended and the original clips deleted, many copies were probably made while they were still available. It also doesn’t help that many spoilers are spreading across the web, so those who haven’t read the books may want to skip doom-scrolling for a few days.

Regardless, the creative team has made a great deal of changes in the show so it’s still not safe for fans who are deeply wary of spoilers. The franchise is a raging success, and somehow, when the leak happened in the first season, it did not affect the viewership ratings.

How Game Of Thrones Fought Spoilers For Its Season Finale

House of the Dragon may have had its share of leaked spoilers, but it would never compare to the amount that Game of Thrones had to battle. Some of the iconic moments from the show were ruined by snitches who posted clips online.

Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen, revealed via The Telegraph that show-runners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff had a bright yet rigorous idea to counter the spoilers.

They’ve written a number of different endings, so none of the cast know what the actual ending is. If there’s ever a leak of any kind, don’t believe it because it’s probably not true.

No one knows if this is the case with House of the Dragon – if there are multiple endings. The actress also added that they were on “a very strict social-media ban” so the cast wouldn’t accidentally spoil anything. She used to post behind-the-scenes clips of her on set, but not anymore after the rule was implemented.

It still remains a mystery who snitched on the House of the Dragon season finale. As per Forbes, the clips seemed to have been taken from a phone, although “there were no screeners of the finale given out to critics for this very reason” – to avoid leaks and spoilers.

House of the Dragon Season 2 is available to stream via HBO.
