Alongside Anakin, we see her grow from a headstrong student into a mature leader. Ashoka Tano was first discovered at the age of three by Polo Kon and got accepted into the Jedi order. At the age of 14, Ashoka achieved the rank of Padawan, and Master Yoda then sent her to Anakin Skywalker. Over the Clone Wars, we see Ashoka experience many ups and downs, triumphs and heartbreaks and yet stand firm at the end.

Dave Filoni, a famous writer, producer, and supervising director of both Clone Wars and Rebels, revealed a surprising fact. He said that the character Ashoka Tano almost appeared in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones instead of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

According to Ashoka Tano’s history, she was always going to be a Togruta, a member of the orange-skinned, blue-and-white head-tailed alien race. However, in the beginning, she was different, according to Filoni. She was called Ashla in the beginning. She was one of the young Jedi that Yoda was training.  Also, she always had the look of a young Togruta girl.

Changes that would have occurred in Clone Wars due to Ashoka.

According to Davis Filoni, Ashoka Tano becomes a Padawan at the age of 14. There was a clear gap of three years between Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Whereas the girl Ashla appeared to be around 4 to 5 years old in the former movie. Ashla would have been too young for the series, and that would also have affected the storyline.

It is quite fascinating to guess how Star Wars timeline would have got altered if George Lucas and Filoni had stuck with their former storytelling idea.

Ashoka has always been a pivotal part of the series, and it is great to get some insight about her origin. It will be worth waiting for the fans to see how her role ends in The Clone Wars and how she will enter into The Mandalorian.
