If there is one fandom that is allowed to have the most trust issues, it is probably Marvel fans. The franchise is known for being especially untrustworthy with the information it gives out. The secrecy surrounding every single project in the MCU is ingrained in the very fabric of the franchise. The perfect example of how far they are willing to go to keep key details under wraps is what Andrew Garfield did in the days leading up to the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The actor has famously been condemned for how much he lied during the release of the film. Fans would constantly bombard him with questions about his appearance in the film, and he would deny it over and over. When the film was released and fans found out that he was, in fact, in the movie, the betrayal they felt was synonymous with Brutus and Caesar.
With that feeling fresh in the audience’s minds, they are convinced that another actor is lying about their appearance in an upcoming film.
Dafne Keen Will Not Be Coming Back?
Dafne Keen’s appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine has been a topic of discussion for every Marvel fan. The actress played the role of X-23 in Hugh Jackman’s Logan. As the Wolverine actor is reviving his role, fans have been curious if she will follow suit. While audiences would want nothing more considering just how important she is as a character, a recent comment made by her does not seem promising for these hopes.
The actress recently gave an interview with ODE, she was asked if she was a part of the film. Unfortunately, Keen revealed that she was not going to make any sort of appearance and that she would not be a part of the film.
While she would have loved to be in it, she mentioned that she looks forward to watching it as a fan.
History Repeating Itself
In any other scenario, fans would have let their persistence go and moved on from the conversation. However, since the speculation is based in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is related to one of the biggest films of the franchise, there is a lot more skepticism.
After what happened with Andrew Garfield and the lies he fed to Marvel fans, they refused to be fooled again and would rather be wrong than be caught off guard.

When the news was reported for the world to see, spectators were quick to dismiss her words, calling them false. Some brought up Garfield, stating that she makes an excellent impression of him when he lies.
It will certainly be difficult to convince fans that she will not be in the film, and the only way to find out will be when Deadpool & Wolverine comes out.
Deadpool & Wolverine will be released in theaters on 26th July.
