Netflix’s One Piece Live Action has been one of the biggest series of 2023. The critics loved it, and the fans adored it. There was always a doubt surrounding Netflix’s past ventures in the anime live-action adaptation genre. The presence of Eiichiro Oda with the team helped the series overcome its more difficult barrier and establish itself as a great live-action adaptation.
The series was so good that it has been renewed for a second season by Netflix. One Piece Live Action became so popular that the people related to it became overburdened with interviews. Especially, Marc Jobst, the director, is one of the busiest people in the world right now. In a recent interview, he mentioned the easter eggs and how he wants to add them in the upcoming season.

Marty Adelstein, the CEO of Tomorrow Studios, has confirmed that the scripts for season 2 are ready. With the new season under production, it might not be long before we join the Strawhats on their grand quest. But several easter eggs were cut down from season one. Marc Jobst, the One Piece director, mentioned it in one of his interviews.
Marc Jobst said to naEKRANIEpl,
“You know, we shot a lot of stuff for those scenes, and, you know, it would be lovely if maybe in season two, you know, because Oda-san quite often goes back to the execution of Gold Roger. So there’s quite a lot of material we shot that we haven’t used, and it might be quite fun to use some of that kind of later on to build the bigger picture of Gold Roger’s execution. I don’t know, listen, I don’t know what the showrunners have got in mind, but we had lots of other Easter Eggs that never got into the final cut.”

Later, he was asked to give his insights on the new season. But Marc Jobst replied, “David, I would be murdered if I did that. How could I possibly do that? You know I can’t say that.” Jobst mentioned that many easter eggs were cut down during Gol D. Roger’s execution. With that in mind, he wanted to change it and show a few of them in season two and make it more interesting.
More on One Piece Live Action
One of the easter eggs missed in One Piece season one is Loguetown. It is the birthplace of pirate king Gol D. Roger and the place where his execution took place. The Loguetown arc will mark the end of the East Blue Saga, and the Strawhats will enter the Grand Line and head towards Drum Island and Arabasta. Captain Smoker was present at Roger’s execution, but he was not shown.

He will prove to be a formidable foe for the Strawhats in their journey. The Loguetown arc is a special arc for anime fans. It will showcase new powerful people who will be important in the future. Moreover, the Arabasta arc will also have a huge impact since it is such a crucial phase in the Grand Line. But with so much going around, the Strawhats will need a doctor to tend to their injuries.
Even though Marc Jobst did not reveal any important news, he hinted at including major easter eggs in One Piece Live Action season 2. With Eiichiro Oda present, the fans will be in for a ride at Loguetown and Arabasta.
