Other jumped in with their own suggestions of controversial episodes in the animated sitcom.

Further, just as the premise suggests, the character made sure to bring his humor, or rather dark humor, to the extreme. In Season 14 Episode 2, titled Papa Has A Rollin’ Son, a snippet features Griffin, Quagmire, and the rest of the gang sitting in the Drunken Clam having their usual beers. Further, Cleveland brings up the topic of Father’s Day.

After Quagmire reminisces about his not-so-fun moments with his dad, the entire focus shifts towards Peter as he realizes that he’s met Quagmire and Cleveland’s fathers but never met Joe’s. Out of curiosity, he asks Joe about his dad, to which he replies that he’s been estranged from his father for years.

This sparks an idea among Cleveland, Peter, and Quagmire to track down Joe’s father and reconnect them. Further, in the same conversation, Quagmire warns Peter to keep it a secret, as he’s terrible at it. Peter replies that he’s great at keeping secrets, and a flashback takes the audience back to when Peter was an OB-GYN.

At the hospital, Dr. Peter comes out with the ultrasound results of a couple. But before he could say anything, the lady mentions they don’t want to know whether “it’s a boy or a girl.” To this Peter, in his usual dark humor, replies, “Well, it’s not breathing.” Further, making it as one of the most controversial scenes in the sitcom.

Upcoming Season 23 of Family Guy Will Break a Significant Stewie Griffin Rule

The sitcom is all set to premiere the 23rd season in the fall of 2024, and new updates from this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (via Screen Rant) have further kept fans on the edge of their seats. The creators of the sitcom unveiled that in the upcoming season, Lois would be able to understand Stewie in an episode. Alex Borstein, who voices Stewie, added:

Stewie accidentally finds some weed. The two are high together, and Lois can finally hear Stewie talk.

This update might bring either increased chaos or an emotional revelation, given Stewie’s animosity towards Lois and his frequent schemes against her. Historically, the sitcom portrays Stewie as a toddler with adult-like habits and behavior. This makes it difficult for Lois to comprehend her youngest son’s complexities.

So, if the updates are to be believed, the upcoming season could dramatically alter their dynamic. Further, breaking the long-standing language barrier between the mother-son duo.
