Margot Robbie has portrayed the Harley Quinn three times till now. In 2020, she got her own ‘Harley Quinn’ movie when she starred in the Bird of Prey. The movie was a colorful visual uptake in the usual ‘dark’ landscape of DC. Not only did it blend action, comedy, and drama effortlessly, but it also earned critical acclaim primarily due to Robbie’s portrayal of Quinn.

Harley Quinn is a relatively famous character and almost everyone who has some insight into the world of superheroes and tenacious villains knows that the infamous character belongs to DC. So, when the Good Morning America host, Michael Strahan referred to Margot Robbie’s and her co-star’s character as belonging to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it seemed fishy.

“Obviously there’s so many characters in the Marvel Universe, in this universe, if we get a sequel.”

To which one of the movie’s cast quickly responded and corrected him. While everyone settled down, despite the air of awkwardness still lingering around, fans weren’t going to forget and move on so quickly. Most took to the land of Twitter, reposting the interview clip and making their theories about the interview.

Interviewers often make mistakes, sometimes confusing the actors or taking the name of the wrong movie. But to confuse the entire cast and a popular character like Harley Quinn, it could be a very honest yet stupid mistake or something fishy.

Hence, fans began to express how embarrassing it must be for the interviewer, one fan replied with a hilarious theory,

“Hey Michael… How much did Disney pay to screw up that line and say Marvel instead of DC. I get it. Disney does that.”

And some weren’t as good with their replies and took offense to the ‘mistake’.

“This Marvel [expletive] is really getting disrespectful! DC is doing things with female characters that the MCU could never do, and a lot of that has to do with Margot fighting for it!”

Meanwhile, Margot Robbie sat expressionless, which seems to say a lot about her reaction.
