Dwayne Johnson’s involvement in the Fast and Furious franchise has certainly paid off – to the tune of over $65 million, according to estimates. By the time Furious 7 rolled around, Johnson’s salary had reportedly increased to a whopping $15 million. What is the next step up above for the movie star?

Dwayne Johnson, who made his acting debut as his own father, Rocky Johnson, on That ’70s Show before creating the part of The Scorpion King in his debut film, The Mummy Returns, ought to be placed in this category. He has gone a long way since then. Not only is this man exploding in the multiplex (even if some successes are not quite “enough”). He is laughing when he pile-drives the explosion into the ground and holds it there while doing so. He then gives us his signature, 1,000-watt mega smile to seal the deal. He could even raise an eyebrow if we’re lucky to remind us that this is The Rock’s universe.

Red One, which is currently listed in the “TBD”(To Be Decided) column of our 2023 movie schedule, is allegedly The Rock’s plan of taking over major franchises like DCU and MCU.
