Earlier this year, in June, when the Fast & Furious star sat for a chat with The Guardian, he revealed some key moments from his life. His film debut undoubtedly is a huge part of his career. However, it was a matter of great luck for him as he had his first outing in a Guy Ritchie movie without having any experience in acting before.

Jason Statham opened up that he was once a skilled diver. Unfortunately, he retired from it before getting the chance to represent the UK at the Olympics. Not having many options, the English actor was forced to sell cheap wares on street corners before Guy Ritchie’s attention caught him. Speaking about his amazing luck, the Meg actor stated.

“It was just one of those chance things. I stopped diving, sat down, didn’t do much for a while, and then I got a part in a film. I was like, ‘Fu*king how the hell did this happen?’ You don’t usually meet directors on the streets. They don’t come and stand in the crowd and go, ‘Oh, thanks for the fu*king 10-quid bag of shite, would you mind being in my film?'”

Following Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie formulated an amazing bond. The debut turned out to be an incredible commercial success, and Statham attracted popularity. It led him to land several high-octane action flicks and also make an amazing director-actor duo with Guy Ritchie.
