Andor was unquestionably one of the best live-action series that Star Wars has gifted fans with to date. Not only did Diego Luna’s exceptional performance as the titular protagonist (along with other actors’) gain massive acclamation from fans worldwide but even the most critical of critics gave it a thumbs-up, considering the incredible 96% approval rating on the Tomatometer it currently rides on.

That was also why fans were very patiently waiting for the sequel season of the 2022 series, which was previously slated to release in 2024. However, in the most unfortunate turn of events, some terrible news awaits Luna’s fans as season 2 of the superhit Star Wars show gets put on hold, meaning: no Andor in 2024!!!

Probably the worst news one can hear before starting a new year would be that the show they were so desperately awaiting to be released in the new year has been further postponed, with no new confirmed release date. And that’s exactly the devastating situation that most Star Wars: Andor fans are going through right now.

In the new release schedule by Disney unveiled for the Star Wars franchise for next year, i.e. 2024, Diego Luna‘s much-anticipated season 2 doesn’t rank on any number at all. In fact, fans will be getting little to no Star Wars content, except for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and Star Wars: The Acolyte, which are the only 2 projects confirmed.

A major reason behind this could be cited as the inevitably long Writer’s Guild of America (WGA) strike and the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) strike earlier this year, as these caused major delays with numerous projects, and the Star Wars franchise was no exception to falling victim to it.

But even as the strikes have been resolved and production has been resumed for almost all the projects, it doesn’t seem 2024 would be a treat for Star Wars fans, considering the other delayed projects as well. This includes new seasons of Star Wars: The Bad Batch and Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, both of which were previously slated for 2024.

And, as expected, fans aren’t happy about it.

Just like every other time, this time as well, fans have taken to X to share how they feel about this new schedule change for one of their all-time favorite Star Wars series, Andor. While some are still keeping their calm and waiting patiently in the hope that the longer it takes, the better it will be, others can’t help but express how devastated and heartbroken they are at this news:

Judging from the massive, massive reaction that Star Wars: Andor has been receiving, if Disney is even thinking of scrapping the show, it is nothing short of one of the worst ideas of all time, if not the worst. As for now, all fans can do is just hold on and hope for the best.
