Taking to his X account after wrapping up production of Deadpool 3, as the movie is now proceeding towards its post-production, for its release on July 26, Hugh Jackman narrated his filming experience. Claiming to have loved every minute of it, the actor quickly corrected himself by admitting that he hated the training and diet process.

After wrapping up filming for his 2017 movie Logan, Hugh Jackman almost saddened his fans as he refused to reprise his Wolverine role in the near future. However, later on with his official appearance in Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3, which is going to mark its entry into the MCU, Jackman yet again prepared to don Wolverine’s adamantium claws.

Although Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine in Deadpool 3 sent his fans into a frenzy, who were excited to witness his return, it was a grueling process for the actor himself. According to his X post, from back in March 2023, the actor noted how he had to get bulkier for his role in the upcoming movie.

Sharing his diet plan and workout updates, Hugh Jackman revealed his painful training for Deadpool 3. Further, sharing a post via Instagram, the actor revealed his daily 8,000-calorie meal prep, containing six boxed-up meals. Not just that, even during his conversation with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, Jackman discussed how he was building up to eating 6,000 calories a day ahead of playing Wolverine.

After this intense dedication and committed preparation, Hugh Jackman finally got into shape for his appearance alongside Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 3. With the movie recently completing its production and now preparing to enter the post-production phase, Jackman shared a post via X, narrating his entire journey.

While admitting to having enjoyed the filming process and even the company of his friendly cast and crew, Hugh Jackman admitted hating one thing in particular. Quite openly, the actor confessed to hating his training process and diet plans. Certainly, it wasn’t easy for him to go through the painful process of bulking up, while refraining from steroids.

Preparing the whole physique with intense training and a strict diet, Hugh Jackman although got into perfect and desirable shape, he hated the process. Admitting to have enjoyed the whole ride, Jackman noted, “I’ve loved every minute of making this movie. Well not the training and diet but the other 93.2%.” Thus, in the end, although the training was worthwhile and served the film, the actor didn’t quite appreciate it.
