Adding on to the pleasant surprises, fans must hold on to their seats for this report. The two are rumored to fight alongside each other in the last film of Phase 6, Avengers: Secret Wars.

A Twitter-based scooper, MyTimeToShineH, has leaked that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man are set to fight side by side in Avengers: Secret Wars. This report certainly made a lot of fans happy and rightly so. Who wouldn’t wanna see two iconic characters join forces to defeat evil?

According to the scooper, the movie will focus on heroes that are from different universes, possibly including X-Men, Fantastic Four, etc. This scoop just strengthens the possibility even more that Wolverine and the ex-Peter Parker will be in the film. The scooper also had some insight about Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Apparently, this Avengers film is going to focus on the new superheroes of the MCU coming together to defeat Kang the Conqueror.

The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars are at the moment two of the most anticipated films in the MCU. Fans are super excited to see how the events will gradually lead to these films and eventually unfold into a big finale for the Multiverse Saga. It looks like the Marvel Studios are all ready to make these films, especially Secret Wars, the biggest films of the MCU. Bringing Jackman and Maguire together seems to be the right step in that direction!

For those of you who do not know, Secret Wars isn’t the only film fans would see Jackman and Maguire in together. In a conversation with The Huffington Post back in 2013, Jackman revealed that he was supposed to be a part of the first Spider-Man film.

“In the first Spider-Man – Kevin Feige reminded me of this – we really tried to get me to come on and do something, whether it was a gag or just to walk through the shot or something. The problem was, we couldn’t find the suit.”

We cannot believe a misplacement resulted in us getting robbed of possibly an iconic cameo in an iconic film. However, even though the cameo didn’t come to fruition, Jackman was still hopeful it would happen someday. He stated that his optimism was far from accepting the fact that it would never happen.

I actually asked some high-level people about it. Because the optimist in me goes, ‘Why not? Why can’t we do it? You know, a split cast or whatever?’ And someone reminded that the amount of money Fox paid compared to the amount of money Disney paid is very different. So how you split that pie up? God knows.”

With the latest scoop, it looks like Jackman’s optimism finally might be getting its way. If the rumors end up being true, Secret Wars is going to be right up there with Endgame. Who knows, maybe even better than it?
