Jennifer Lawrence’s Exit is the Reason?
One of the most significant factors contributing to the franchise’s success was the incredible talent and star power of Jennifer Lawrence, who portrayed the central character, Katniss Everdeen.
However, fans were saddened when it was announced that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 would mark the end of Jennifer Lawrence’s journey as Katniss. Her departure was a poignant moment for the franchise and its dedicated fan base.
Lawrence’s decision to exit the franchise was a personal one, as she felt that she had given her all to the character and wanted to explore other roles and opportunities in her career. So, this might be one of the reasons why this upcoming movie is projected at such a low box office collection.
However, she has also said in an interview with Variety that she would be willing to reprise her role as Katniss in the future.
