Togashi Yoshihiro reveals the ending of Hunter x Hunter to the audience
Togashi Yoshihiro has been suffering from health issues for several years now, and the series has also been on hiatus. Despite this, a considerable number of fans still hope that their favorite manga series will go back to publishing generally as it used to.
However, their hope is slowly fading as the author has decided to reveal the possible endings he would like the series to have. As shared by @WSJ_manga on X, the mangaka has apologized to the fans for spoiling the ending of his manga.
Yoshihiro Togashi will be revealing a 'Dropped Ending' for HUNTERxHUNTER on TV Asahi's Iwakura and Yoshizumi Show on November 21st, 2023.

This is done to stop letting the story go to waste if he passes away before he completes his story.
The manga recently released several chapters, and fans hoped it would continue, but according to the latest decision made by the author to reveal the ending, it seems his health is not improving.
Togashi Yoshihiro’s health issues and hiatus of Hunter x Hunter
Yoshihiro Togashi’s recurring back pain and health issues have caused him several issues while writing Hunter x Hunter. It has caused him to take several years off writing, and the story remains untouched; however, this is not the first time.
Togashi Yoshihiro was the author of another popular manga series, Yu Yu Hakusho, which he managed to complete somehow. Still, the ending needed to be more satisfactory for the fans who had followed the story for several years.
The issues have become a lot more severe since he is getting older, and despite his love and passion for the story, the pain is making him unable to continue. Fans have raised queries regarding his health as they want him to recover fully, but Togashi Yoshihiro is determined to complete his beloved story.
He even went back to drawing and published some chapters, but his health is not improving or getting better.
