Gojo’s VA Backs Gege’s Bold Choice to Kill Gojo Satoru in Jujutsu Kaisen

Gojo Satoru has been the crowd’s favorite thanks to his comedy and cocky personality traits. Since the beginning, Gojo was portrayed as the strongest character in the series, which ultimately hindered the development of other characters. Born with the power of the Limitless technique and Six Eyes, Gojo broke the laws of nature and shifted the balance of power after his birth.

Gege highlighted Gojo as the strongest and never hesitated to portray Gojo’s notable feats in the anime. However, for the sake of plot progression, Gege Akutami had to plan the character’s tragic fate. Unfortunately, Gojo lost his title of the strongest during the final showdown with Sukuna, the King of Curses. For years, fans were excited to witness the epic clash of the strongest between Gojo and Sukuna.

In order to highlight Yuji’s character development, Gege had to kill Gojo and Sukuna was the only formidable opponent for the Six Eyes user. Interestingly, Gojo’s VA, Kaiji Tang, also supported Gege’s narrative and highlighted the necessity of plot progression in JJK. With Tang’s supportive comments, it might be time for the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom to come to terms with the reality.
