While she remains a prominent figure in the industry and has been making headlines for her stunning performances in Little Women and Don’t Worry Darling, the Black Widow star has also been in news for her relationship.

She started dating Zach Braff, the Scrubs alum in 2019 who is 20 years elder than her. Their age gap was a huge bone of contention for everyone and fans bought on themselves to point out the problematic age gap.

When the actress announced her breakup with her ex-boyfriend of 3 years she requested privacy from her fans explaining why she wants to do it as silently and respectfully as possible. She opened up during her cover for Harper’s Bazaar,

“We’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on. We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together. So we’ve done that. I automatically get a lumpy throat when I talk about it.”

She is visibly frustrated with people having more opinions on her relationship, yet it comes as a result of being a public figure. She has been vocal about her disappointment and resentment towards her relationship being scrutinized in the public eye.

Soon after her breakup with Braff, Pugh worked with him on A Good Person, that released on 24 March 2023. This is not the first time, the duo has collaborated on a short film titled In the Time It Takes to Get There.

After working on A Good Person Pugh and Braff were bombarded with fans and media wanting to know about their experience. Surprisingly Pugh felt great on set and highlighted how there was no tension between the two. On the contrary, she believes their relationship helped them work on the film better, 

“I was his muse. I think there [was] so much ease with reading a script when someone knows how you talk and how far they can push you and what you’re capable of doing,” Pugh said. “It was just a joy. It was so much fun.”

A Good Person

Even Zach Braff has only good things to say about his ex-girlfriend, he shared his views on her during the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast.

“We love each other. We get along really well. We want to keep working together. We want to make more movies together. We share a dog together. We love each other. I’m just in awe of her talent.”

There is mutual trust, respect, and adoration between Florence Pugh and her ex Zach Braff. Despite their breakup, the duo has been able to put aside their differences and work on a project together. The film received mixed reviews and faired decently well in the Box-Office, it could however be the start of an artistic partnership.
