Radcliffe has created a powerful legacy in the acting industry whether it be his filming projects like The Lost City or his stage plays. Being a person who had been in the public eye since his childhood, he had a hard time coping with the pressure and fame.

When things started getting out of hand, he sought to drink as an option to escape from stardom but little did he know that it would only make things out of hand. He told Off Camera With Sam Jones in 2019,

“The quickest way of forgetting about the fact that you were being watched was to get very drunk. Then as you get very drunk, you become aware that, ‘Oh, people are watching more now because now I’m getting very drunk, so I should probably drink more to ignore that more.'”

He eventually came out of that dark loop through his close friends’ support and decided to stop drinking in 2010. Given that his journey as a star kid, he opened up about avoiding fame for his future kids at all costs.
