Ignoring their direction, he veered off-script, determined to inflict maximum humiliation upon his rival.
The confrontation quickly escalated into a shocking display of aggression, with The Rock stooping to involve Rhodes’ mother in the feud. The tension reached its peak as he forcefully grabbed Rhodes’ face, saying, “This is what happens when you f**k with the Final Boss.”
He also explained that the message wasn’t just for Cody, but for any and everyone who insists you have to do or say things a specific way or risk getting “canceled.”
He took to X to share that he is the final boss and he will do what he wants to do.
“I hate constraints and bullshit rules – and just because some @wwe producer says, “clear” (meaning, we are no longer live on the air and the show is over) that doesn’t mean I just stop whatever I’m doing and tell everyone great job. It f*cking pissed me off. I can’t shut my emotions off just because a script says we’re done.”
“They create fear if you have a different perspective and don’t live by their rules. It’s their way, or no way.” he added.
Not abiding by all those scripted rules, he concluded by saying, “My choice. Our choice.”

What’s the Blood Use Policy in WWE Currently?
For years under Vince McMahon’s leadership, intentionally causing bleeding with a razor blade was a big no-no. Industry insider Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests that Dwayne Johnson will have a lot of creative freedom.
However, it’s noteworthy that WWE is no longer under Vince McMahon’s control. While there might be a shift in policy, WWE doesn’t seem inclined to adopt a more liberal approach similar to that of AEW regarding the use of blood in matches.
“As far as what it all means, we were told that Dwayne Johnson as always will get to do pretty much what he wants. The further he pushes, it’s likely the further at least some of the top stars can with language. With blood, the key is that this is no longer Vince McMahon’s company. We were told that going forward it will be used very rarely. There are no plans to turn it into AEW where it’s used more liberally.”
Reports also indicate that The Rock holds considerable influence over creative decisions, potentially even surpassing that of notable figures like Brock Lesnar during McMahon’s tenure.
