Known for her appearance in some of the best action movies, Charlize Theron has now apparently decided to step away from the realm of action movies. Not only does Theron love this genre, but the actress undoubtedly fits best in it, yet she claims that now she isn’t that fond of filming action films.

The reason she thinks that way now is because; with growing age things become harder and don’t go the way they initially did. The actress here was referring to the physical task which indeed takes a lot of toll on the actors while filming an action scene. During an interview, the actress said, 

“The thing that really bums me out is that I make action movies now and if I hurt myself, I take way longer to heal than I did in my 20s. More than my face, I wish I had my 25-year-old body that I can just throw against the wall and not even hurt tomorrow.”

Indeed, the daily work hustle in action films turns out to be a great hassle, so much so that it completely drains out the energy of the actors involved in it. “Now, if I don’t work out for three days and I go back to the gym, I can’t walk. I can’t sit down on the toilet. It’s all those very real moments.”

Though the actress, doesn’t seem very excited to participate in action films, her contribution to the genre is indeed commendable. The 48-year-old actress rose to prominence with remarkable drama films like Monster, Devil’s Advocate, and The Cider House Rules. She also won the Oscar award for her role in Monster.

“My face is changing, and I love that my face is changing and aging, But people think I had a facelift. They’re like, ‘What did she do to her face?’ I’m like, ‘Bit*h, I’m just aging! It doesn’t mean I got bad plastic surgery. This is just what happens.’”

The actress further emphasized that she believes that women also believe that women desire to age in a manner that resonates with them.
