“Made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce. We will work through … whatever. I just haven’t been able to break that promise.”
The Worthy author provided more details about her marriage in an interview with PEOPLE, saying,
“We are still figuring it out. We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us.”
While giving few details about their current circumstances, Pinkett Smith told the Daily Mail earlier this month that her husband’s shocking Oscars slap had saved their marriage:
“After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will’s side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him. Who knows where our relationship would be if that hadn’t happened?”
