On Real Ones with Jon Bernthal, LaBeouf opened up about all the things in the past that have been levied against the actor. The actor was especially regretful of all that his wife had to go through, talking about how she came into his life at the correct time. The actor said:

“She was present for me at a time when I didn’t deserve to have nobody in my life, especially her. She gave me hope when I was really running on fumes.”

LaBeouf also opened up about his child and how that has changed his life. Funnily enough, the actor, while talking to Bernthal, compared having a child to having a dog, only to realize what the difference is. Speaking to the host, he said:

“You would always talk about your kid, and I was like ‘Yeah I have a dog’, as if these loves were anywhere near what you experience when you have a kid.”

LaBeouf has had a very checkered history but seems to have found his way back. The actor might never return to films but has changed for the better, which is rare to see, serving as an inspiration for all those who are affected by such situations.

Jon Bernthal’s Real Ones podcast has created a space for many voices that would not find a place in mainstream audiences. LaBeouf recognized this, making it a point to start the podcast by thanking Bernthal for the call. The actor said:

“I love what you did with this thing. Like, I was watching all the interviews you had done. You found a gap. Not a whole lot of places I guy like me can come and talk…This is really special. I like how small it is also.”

Bernthal has made the podcast a home for such content that might not have a voice in mainstream media. His interview with LaBeouf currently has a whopping 9 million views, having released about a year ago.
