Amber Rose claimed Kanye West hasn’t paid her properly for her work on his album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, which came out in November 2010.
The album delves into Yeezy’s struggles with fame, ego, self-doubt, and the pressures of living a high-profile life. Rose believes West owes her $20 million for her significant contributions to his fifth studio album.
The Master of the Mix judge said she indirectly influenced the album by suggesting Nicki Minaj for the track Monster. Minaj’s verse on the song is widely regarded as one of the album’s highlights.
Amber Rose Claims She Deserves Millions from Kanye West For Helping Him
During a recent interview on The Jason Lee Show, Amber Rose said she didn’t receive any compensation for her work on Kanye West‘s famous album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. She claimed that she helped secure Nicki Minaj‘s guest spot on the song Monster, one of the album’s biggest hits.
Rose asserted that she downplayed her own role in getting Minaj involved but said she didn’t receive any credit for it. The American rapper told Lee at the 38:05 mark of the interview:
“I don’t think I got credit for that. I mean, I didn’t do it for credit. And that’s not to take — Nicki, she’s amazing, when it comes to writing raps. Like, I’ve seen it in person. It’s a sight to see.”
Rose also mentioned that she is upset about West using a wax figure of her in the video for his song Famous (from a different album) without her permission, which depicted her n*de. She continued:
“I should’ve got $20 million for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. But I got nothing. I should’ve gotten money for the wax figure that he used without my consent. Butt naked! But I didn’t get nothing. I didn’t get any money from anything. I should have been compensated in some way for using my likeness, and so many songs, and the wax figure.”
Ye and Rose dated from 2008 to 2010. During that time, West was working on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. After they broke up, Rose claimed ten years later that West had been bullying her since their split.
Amber Rose Called Out Kanye West for Alleged Sl*t-Shaming and Bullying
In 2020, when Amber Rose appeared on the No Jumper podcast, she revealed that she was the one to call it quits with the Heartless singer.
The 40-year-old model and activist addressed West’s past comments about needing “30 showers” after their relationship ended. She argued that these remarks were inappropriate considering the length of their relationship.
Rose also referenced an incident where West allegedly compared her to “pr*stitutes” in the Bible at a rally. “Ten years later, just leave me alone. I don’t bother you. I don’t talk about you,” she added, expressing frustration over West’s continued negativity towards her.
