Highlighting the friendly rapport between them, Ryan Reynolds began by describing a typical day at home when he returned from work to find his children engrossed in watching TV. He suddenly recognized that they were watching Hugh Jackman’s popular film The Greatest Showman. However, to his surprise, Reynolds had not expected to find the actor himself in their living room.

True story, one of the reasons why I love this guy [Hugh Jackman] so much is, one day I came home and I heard The Greatest Showman playing in my living room and my kids squealing, cause they love watching Greatest Showman. They don’t want daddy’s movies, but they love uncle Hugh’s movies.

Anyway, they were all singing along, and I walked around the corner and guess who’s acting out the parts with them. Hugh Jackman right there. And I didn’t even have to meet his $112 Million quote per film.

In his signature comedic style, Ryan Reynolds ended his story by noting the surreal and amusing scene of Hugh Jackman casually hanging out with his children and enacting his film for free. Thereafter, while the show host commented on Jackman’s generosity, the Aussie actor stated how Reynolds’ kids had watched The Greatest Showman for the fourth time in a row.

Hugh Jackman’s Reported Salary Quote Per Film

Although Hugh Jackman had entertained Ryan Reynolds’ kids and enacted The Greatest Showman with them out of generosity, the Canadian star’s jab at his co-stars’ $112M quote per film does make us wonder about his actual salary estimation. Therefore, keeping in mind that Reynolds’ jest about Jackman’s impressive salary was a playful nod to the star’s humility and affection despite his substantial earning power – let’s take a look at Wolverine’s salary.

According to a compilation of Hugh Jackman’s salary shared by ScreenRant, the actor who made his Hollywood debut with his breakthrough role as Wolverine in Bryan Singer’s X-Men (2000), simply earned $500,000. However, quickly after propelling himself to stardom as the clawed mutant, Jackman charged $1M for X2: X-Men United, $5M for X-Men: The Last Stand, and $20M each for X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Wolverine

Considering his rather brief appearance in X-Men: Days of Future Past, Hugh Jackman had sought an estimate of $7M. As for Logan, although the exact figure hasn’t been revealed, Jackman was said to have taken a pay cut for the film. Meanwhile, apart from his X-Men movies, Jackman is reported to have charged the most for his role in Australia – $10M.

For other films like Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, Jackman made $1.5M, for Butter he earned $2M, for Les Misérables Jackman made $5M, and for Real Steel, he earned $9M. So it’s certain that Ryan Reynolds’ comment about Jackman’s $112M quote per film was indeed a joke. Therefore, in the light of that story, the $180M worth actor (via Parade) is undoubtedly more popular for his approachable and kind-hearted nature.
