Why Did A Producer Threaten To Fire Salma Hayek

In December 2017, Salma Hayek spoke out about the repeated sexual advances and attempted sexual assault made by Harvey Weinstein. The actress recounted to The New York Times that she consistently rejected Weinstein’s requests, including declining to shower with him, letting him watch her shower, and receiving massages from him or his associates.

She turned down all his requests by saying, “No to me taking a shower with him. No to letting him watch me take a shower. No to letting him give me a massage. No to letting a n*ked friend of his give me a massage. No to letting him give me oral s*x. No to my getting n*ked with another woman. No, no, no, no, no…And with every refusal came Harvey’s Machiavellian rage.”
