The final trailer ahead of movie’s release featured a grown up Daphne Keen’s X-23 and Lady Deadpool as two of the guest stars who will grace the film with their cameos. Reynolds though, had one celebrity in mind who he was desperate to work with in the movie.

The actor in an interview with Screen Rant, stated that he was extremely keen to share screen space with actor, writer, and director Jordan Peele, and confessed that he was an ardent fan of his work. Unfortunately, despite being one of the first people he approached for a role in the film, Peele’s busy schedule came in the way of accepting this offer.

We are such enormous fans of his, everything he does, I think he’s just one of the great underrated performers as well. Obviously, he’s busy building a gigantic empire as a director and creator, but he’s somebody that I still, to this day, would love to find some way to team up with. I don’t even care what he would play, but I would love to work with him.

The Marvel star’s admiration for Peele would definitely be shared by audiences as well. From sketch comedies to psychological horror films like Get Out and Nope, the gifted writer’s unique manner of telling a story with depth and nuance, has made him a critically acclaimed artist in Hollywood. Fans will be hoping that this desired collaboration between Peele and Reynolds will take shape sometime in the future.
