Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson set the MCU on fire when they starred in the 2014 superhit film Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Considered to be one of the best MCU films ever made, the 2014 movie had Evans and Johansson teaming up in punching bad guys and taking down Hydra.
With so much action and the showing of muscles, Chris Evans had a pretty unique diet that he had to follow. When asked about Evans’ diet to Scarlett Johansson, the actress was quite stunned about how Evans could maintain that figure…after eating so much.
When Scarlett Johansson Was Jealous of Chris Evans’ Diet
Scarlett Johansson was first introduced in the 2010 film Iron Man 2 as Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow. Joining alongside the Avengers, Romanoff and Captain America bonded quite well when the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier took place.
Being great friends in real life too, Johansson and Chris Evans had one of the best friendships in the MCU. Talking about the 2014 movie, the Jojo Rabbit actress revealed in an interview with Variety how Evans was working out so little and yet had a very muscular body while she was trying to compare herself with all the guys in the film.
“I don’t even want to hear about that. I’m a girl trying to keep up with these guys. I look around, Chris is eating gummy bears and Skittles, and I’m eating a bag of dry popcorn. Oh well.”
Depicting how pure the bond was, Scarlett Johansson believes that Chris Evans will make a great director someday as is the actor’s dream.

Scarlett Johansson Trusts Chris Evans’ Dream
Chris Evans is already a pretty great actor. With notable and iconic roles in his career, the actor has a plethora of movies such as The Gray Man and Knives Out to his name. Evans had once stated that he wanted to be a full-time director and Scarlett Johansson is all in for it.
“I’m sure he will make a wonderful director. At least, he’ll make a great actor’s director. He’s very curious and he throws the ball back with fervor. He loves to rally the entire group. Even if you’re just not having it — ‘Chris I’ve had the longest week of stunts and my body hurts’ — he’s like, ‘All the more reason for you to go out and celebrate!'”
As much as the world will miss their on-screen chemistry (with Captain America now retired and all), the fans remain happy with all the cute and wholesome interactions that they have. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is available to stream on Disney+ in the U.S.
