During her appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Miley Cyrus opened up about her split from ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. The singer candidly shared that there were several conflicts in their relationship, adding that it was not in line with her desire for stability and emotional security.
“When I come home, I want to be anchored by someone,” she said before adding, “I don’t get off on drama or fighting.” Cyrus further shared that she has an “intense” personality, claiming that she does not believe in searching for purpose in conflicts.
“Me being an intense person and not wanting to sit with it and not wanting to go, you know, ‘What could be purposeful about this?’ I just clung to what I had left of that house, which was me and him.”
Despite their contrasting personalities, the former Disney star expressed her unwavering love for The Hunger Games actor. “I really do and did love him very, very, very much and still do, always will,” she said while sharing a glimpse into the complexities of their relationship.

Miley Cyrus Did Not Think She And Liam Hemsworth Would Get Married
During her conversation with Howard Stern, Miley Cyrus also reflected on how she and Liam Hemsworth got married. The couple was together for almost 10 years, during which they broke up several times and even got engaged.
However, the Wrecking Ball singer did not think that she and the 33-year-old actor would ever tie the knot. “We were together since 16,” she said before further stating, “Our house burned down. We had been like engaged – I don’t know if we really ever thought we were actually going to get married.”
However, things took a turn after they lost their Malibu house. The actress described it as a traumatic experience. In an interview with Vanity Fair, she suggested that their marriage grew from the trauma, saying, “When you experience what we experienced together with someone, it is like glue.”
The couple has moved on with their respective partners after the divorce. The Dressmaker actor has been in a relationship with actress Gabriella Brooks, and Cyrus is reportedly dating her fellow musician Maxx Morando.
