When the actress posted a picture on her Instagram from her dazzling red carpet look at the Cannes Film Festival, a fraction of internet users accused her of undergoing plastic surgery. When the actress denied such claims, the users threw some blunt remarks on her appearance, that coaxed the actress to shut all the critics. The actress responded to the critics by stating,
“I haven’t had a facelift or filler or Botox. I’m not lying and I don’t have to accept people accusing me of things I haven’t done.”
Further, the actress explained the medical reason due to which she avoids undergoing any sort of cosmetic procedure. Beckinsale said,
“I actually can’t. I have a condition called mast cell activation syndrome which is actually a massive daily struggle and means I react to hundreds of things badly. Can’t take the risk.”
According to Healthline, Mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) is a condition that occurs when the mast cells in your body release too much of a substance that causes allergy-like symptoms. The primary affected areas typically include your skin, nervous system, heart, and gastrointestinal tract.

Previously, during a conversation with The Sunday Times, the actress claimed that she has never undergone any sort of facial surgery. The actress blatantly said,
“I haven’t had any. I’m not against people having it. [But] I do get pissed off. It’s sort of a given that I’ve had it, which I just literally haven’t.”
