Keanu Reeves’ John Wick had a seemingly definite ending (death) in John Wick: Chapter 4. With the film becoming the highest-grossing film in the franchise and the most beloved, it seems the heads at Lionsgate have no intention to let go of the character anytime soon.

During a Lionsgate quarterly earnings call, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chairman Joe Drake revealed that a fifth John Wick film is currently being written along with various spin-off films. He said, (via Comicbook.com)

“On the Wick side, we got multiple spin-offs and Wick Five. We started to work on (it) right when the writer’s strike started and we’ve gotten back to work as soon as it ended.”

It remains to be seen how they explain the supposed death of John Wick at the end of Chapter 4 if they went on to make a fifth one. The Continental series also had its run on Peacock. The spin-off film Ballerina starring Ana de Armas is scheduled to release next year on June 7, 2024.
