Seth MacFarlane Doesn’t Plan To Stop Family Guy Anytime Soon!
Having 22 seasons to its name, the animated show Family Guy became a world-favorite adult cartoon that everyone enjoyed. With its chaotic comedy and dark jokes, the series became one of the highly recognized pop culture icons in the past few years.
In a recent interview, Seth MacFarlane, who is the creator of Family Guy talked about the series’ future. As per a post on X (formerly Twitter), MacFarlane revealed that he doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
“I don’t see a good reason to stop. People still love it. It makes people happy and it funds some good causes… I don’t know that there’s any reason to stop at this point”
He further continued that there could be only one reason that he would ever consider stopping more Family Guy episodes and that is if the audience gets tired of it.
“Unless people get sick of it… But that hasn’t happened yet.”
Well, glad that people haven’t gotten tired of the show yet. In a separate interview, MacFarlane talked about how it has been 25 years since Family Guy premiered. Stating that the show has been thriving, the Ted actor talked about what makes Peter Griffin and his family so special!
Why Seth MacFarlane Loves Family Guy?
Being the creator of the show is a primary reason for MacFarlane to love his series but that’s not the only reason he loves Family Guy. In an interview with TheWrap, Farlane stated that the goal of the show has always been to make people laugh.
“As far as Family Guy is concerned, yeah, it’s still surviving and thriving. It’s strange that we’re coming up on 25 years because I’ve just been going kind of at a dead run ever since the show premiered…I think the goal of the show is just to make people laugh”
He further continued,
“It delves into social allegory and politics now and then without question, as a good primetime animated show should, but that’s always secondary…”
With 22 seasons to its name, Family Guy stands strong at a rating of 8.1/10 on IMDB and an average of 72% on Rotten Tomatoes. With the 23rd season greenlit for release, Family Guy is available to stream on Hulu in the U.S.
