But with great fame comes great responsibilities as well, and slipping even once could land one in trouble. Something similar also happened with Reynolds as he nearly turned into a real-life villain because he seemed to miss out on a young fan’s wish twice during a premiere. But after her constant approach, he finally realized it and granted her her wish, escaping merely from trouble.

A Fan’s Unfulfilled Wish Could Have Turned Ryan Reynolds Into a Real-Life Villain!

Ryan Reynolds has been upping his game constantly, earning a special place in fans’ hearts simply with his personality. However, he was recently under tremendous heat of almost getting on fans’ bad side during one of the premieres of his latest movie, IF. This happened because he failed to pay attention to a young fan’s request twice.

As shared by the young models Hazel and Capri via their Instagram handle @hazelandcapri, they went to meet the 6 Underground actor during their visit to the film premiere. However, amidst all the chaos of being in such a crowded place full of fans, the young Capri was ignored twice by Reynolds while trying to get his attention.

The first time when Capri asked with a “Mr. Ryan!” in her soft voice, it was a failed attempt. Then the second time, she grabbed his arm to get his attention with an “Excuse me, Ryan” and managed to earn a “Hi!” from the actor. But before she could properly ask him “Can we please take a photo?” Reynolds had already moved forward.

The pair even captioned this clip:

They say never meet your heroes because they might disappoint you… But I wasn’t going to let my two failed attempts stop me.

However, thankfully, the third time, Capri finally got a photo with her hero by finally asking out loud enough: “Excuse me, can I please have a photo?”

Needless to say, had the Free Guy star ignored her request this time as well, he could have gotten under massive fire from fans as they probably wouldn’t have forgiven him for not taking a photo with that little girl. But since he accepted her request, fans have been jumping to his defense, especially regarding the video’s caption.

As it turns out, granting his young fan her wish not only got Reynolds back on the fans’ good side and stopped him from becoming a villain in fans’ eyes, but it also scored him protection from his fans who have been defending him ever since the release of this clip.

Taking to the comment section, here’s what all of those fans have been saying:

“So much overstimulation. Give the guy a break. Imagine walking anywhere and people crowded you, all yelling different things.” ~ @nightowll33

“I don’t think he was ignoring anyone think it’s just loud and busy and it took a minute for him to process that you were asking something” ~ @lilpinkkae

“’Celebrities’ don’t owe anyone anything.” ~ @ryan_hovey

“He wasn’t ignoring anyone. It was so loud in there and so many people.” ~ @soulcrusher820

“I can barely hear her through the video and y’all think with all that noise it was easy for him to hear? Noise is reduced in videos compared to real life.” ~ @ladyykakarot

“You can clearly tell the 1st attempt he simply didn’t hear her. The second attempt he looked at her but she said ‘excuse me’ he thought she was trying to get by. The 3rd attempt he realized and was more than happy to get a photo.” ~ @ky.kauffman21

Unarguably enough, these arguments are as valid as ever, for celebrities most certainly face a lot of problems with all those fan requests during crowded events like this. But Ryan Reynolds still took time out for his young fans, looking as pleased as ever, once again managing to get on the fans’ good side through the same.

You can catch IF in theatres now.
