During an interview with MovieWeb, Pirates of the Caribbean actor Vince Lozano shared his views on Depp’s return to the franchise. According to Lozano, the Transcendence actor deserves another chance to play Captain Jack Sparrow since he was the only one who could truly bring the role to life, and because of this, he is largely responsible for the success of the Pirates of the Caribbean film series.

“I think he deserves another shot as Jack, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. I’m hearing a lot of stories out there. The audience is there though. I do a lot of pirate conventions and there’s such a big subculture of people that dress up like pirates, and they love Johnny”

Sadly, it is doubtful that Johnny Depp will be invited to take on the part again. Since Depp’s legal dispute with Amber Heard, Disney has alienated itself from him, and it’s not obvious if they’d be prepared to collaborate with him once more. Nevertheless, Depp’s supporters and admirers continue to hold out hope that he will be offered the chance to play the part once more in the future. It is undeniably true that without him, the Pirates of the Caribbean movies would not be the same.
