The Lost in Translation star talked about her relationship with her husband Colin Jost on The Drew Barrymore Show. The actress was seen joking about Saturday Night Live co-head writer and Weekend Update co-host – Colin Jost.
The actress was asked if she would have been romantically attracted to her husband if they had met in their teenage years. Johansson replied,
“I don’t think so.”
She went on to poke fun at her weird hairstyle of Jost that he carried as a teenager. Iron Man 2 star said,
“Firstly, my brother had that same haircut throughout the nineties…both of my brothers, and I just can’t. There’s no way. I mean, who decided on that cut as a stylish thing? What hairdresser was like ‘I’ll try this.'”
Talking about what drew her towards her husband, she shared,
“I didn’t know what I wanted or needed from somebody else. I never realized, ‘Oh, it’s really important for me, I need to be with a compassionate person. That’s a fundamental characteristic that has to be there.’ And I think that understanding what those fundamental things are that you need in a partner is a must, I think — for longevity, anyway. I think identifying those things was a game-changer for me.”
